Massages are great, but there is no better way to reset, or break out of a funk, in my opinion, then to spend a few hours in a space designed to boost your mood, increase circulation and decrease inflammation from head to toe.
Start your journey in their state of the art cryotherapy chamber. Bring a buddy. It’s big enough for 4 people (don’t worry, you go in in a robe, not naked). Throw on some mittens and socks with shoes, a fuzzy robe (all provided by Restore), pop on your favorite song and shiver (and dance) away for 2-3 minutes to enjoy the benefits of cryotherapy. Anytime I am feeling down and can’t snap out of it, or sore from working out, this boosts my mood, pumping those “feel good” endorphins through my body and minimizing inflammation. Read more about cryotherapy, here.
Next, hit up the compression therapy station. Choose between compressing your hips, arms, or legs. We like the legs. This relaxing therapy gently hugs and releases your legs at a pressure you are comfortable with, helping to improve the flow of the blood and lymph, to boost recovery time, enhance circulation and support the body in natural detoxification. I like to bring my laptop and do work. I am all about the multi-task.
If IV therapy is your thing, you can triple your multi-task and choose your cocktail of wellness while you compress. A nurse will supervise you the entire time, ensuring you are comfortable and safe. Read more about IV drip therapy here.
No need to hit the road just yet. Get one of their personal trainers to stretch out the tension and loosen those tight muscles all over your body.
Oh wait. But we’re not done yet. Seriously, make a day out of it. Schedule one of their skin rejuvenation treatments, to tighten the skin, reduce puff, sculpt the jawline and cleanse away impurities, or if you are short on time but still want to maximize your time at RESTORE, try a 15 minute localized cool sculpting session on the face to reduce puffiness and tame redness, or their 15 minute red light therapy for the whole body.
Restore also offers an infrared sauna, hyperbaric oxygen chamber (for those not super claustrophobic like me— it can be game-changing) and various other wellness shots and modalities.
Memberships are available, which we recommend if you are really interested in investing in being the healthiest happiest version of yourself.
(Be sure to schedule your day in advance, they get busy– but they do accept walk-ins).
If you really want to kick start your experience, start (or finish) with a foot reflexology session down the way @ Xiangu Place. It’s not fancy (at all) but you will walk away from your day feeling like a brand new human being and then thank us tomorrow 😉.
