Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine that is believed to release endorphins and restore blood flow to the body’s most vital organs and human tissue through very specific acupuncture points and meridians. In doing so, acupuncture is thought to help restore energy, and thus balance.

Traditional Chinese medicine explains that any discomfort in the body stems from a state of imbalance caused by stagnant energy, referred to as “qi” (pronounced “chi”) in Chinese Medicine.

This imbalance manifests differently within each of us.

Disease, discomfort, depression, anxiety, premature aging, etc. are all a result of an imbalance of “chi” in the body.

When energy (or “chi”) is stagnant— the body is out of balance.

Chi flows through pathways in the body via meridians accessible through 350 acupuncture points. Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine that has been practiced for centuries. During treatment, tiny needles are inserted into specific points in the body (hands, arms, feet, head, back and over the major organs) based on an individual’s needs.

The needles are thin enough to cause relatively little discomfort and generally associated with an overall feeling of warmth and a reduction in both stress and pain.
