Foot Reflexology

Most reflexology spas, called “Foot Spas”, in the United States are designed for relaxation purposes only, but in China, foot reflexology treatments are a part of everyday life where they are used as a form of medical evaluation and treatment, in addition to relaxation.

Foot Reflexology is a type of massage that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet. Similar to acupuncture, foot reflexology is based on the theory that these specific points are connected to certain organs and internal body systems.

Trained therapists, called reflexologists, believe that applying pressure to these areas can restore energy and balance to an imbalanced body, and/or vital organs.

While traditional Foot Spas cannot “treat” ailments, Reflexology “Charts” can help you better understand how areas of discomfort on the feet are correlated to areas that the body is out of balance.
