Packed with antioxidants, elderberries have been used throughout history for medicinal and culinary purposes.
“Traditionally, Native Americans used it to treat infections, while the ancient Egyptians used it to improve their complexions and heal burns. It’s still gathered and used in folk medicine across many parts of Europe.”
Today, Elderberry is commonly used to prevent and treat colds, flus and allergies and is a great supplement to take daily to keep your immune system finely tuned!
Local to Dallas, we absolutely love this Elderberry Syrup— which also makes for an incredibly dressing.
This dressing is so simple but oh so good.
Immune Boosting Elderberry Vinaigrette

Ingredients:
2 Servings:
- 2 tbsp Cassie Green Elderberry Syrup
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp freshly minced garlic
- sea salt to taste
- (**Add more lime juice for more acidity).
Method:
Blend all together (or whisk) if you do not have a small blender.
We poured it over a bed of crisp organic romaine with pan seared hearts of palm, red onion, freshly shaved fennel and fronds.
